A-Teens.com Privacy Policy

A-Teens.com cares about your privacy. We have a special privacy policy for our users from the United States who are younger than 13. For everyone else, our regular policy, which immediately follows our Children's Privacy Policy, applies.
UNITED STATES CHILDREN'S PRIVACY POLICY

Stockholm Records strives to comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act for our users from the United States who are 12 and younger. We do not condition such child's participation in an activity on the child's disclosing more personal information than is reasonably necessary to participate in that activity. We do not share such children's personal information with third parties.

Parents have the right to review and have deleted any personally identifiable information we have collected from their children, and refuse to permit further collection of that information. Parents who have let us retain their email addresses can go directly to the parents' login page, http://www.a-teens.com/?sid=parents and follow the instructions there for reviewing or deleting information. Otherwise, parents can begin the review process by sending an email to support@a-teens.com.

What Information we Collect
In order to protect your children's privacy, we have children under 13 who reside in the United States use a special site registration and sign-up for our a-teens newsletter. At our registration page, we ask the child's date of birth and country. If the child tells us they reside in the United States and are under the age of 13, we then only additionally collect the child's email address, in order to send the newsletter, and their parent's email address, so that we can alert the parents that their child has signed up for the newsletter and give them a chance to ask us to remove their child from our newsletter mailing list. We may also maintain the child's email address to protect the security and integrity of our service. In addition, each of our newsletters will come with instructions on how to remove your child's address from our mailing list. We also may ask certain demographic information, such as the language your child wants to receive the newsletter in.

We also have each child pick a site username and password. However, these children cannot use any of the communication tools (message boards, profiles, etc.) that we offer.

If we otherwise receive an online request from someone we know is a U.S. child, we will delete any personal information they send us other than their email address, which we will use only for the purpose of responding to the child's request or answering the child's question. Once we have responded, we then also delete the child's email address from our system.

We use cookies to personalize the site and make using the site easier, such as by remembering your username and timezone. The cookies do not contain any personally identifiable information. We do not disclose any of your personal information to our advertisers.

For our internal purposes, we may gather date, time, browser type and IP address of all visitors to our site. We keep this information simply for our internal security audit log, trend analysis, and system administration.
