NOVEMBER 4 - ARRIVAL
I had to do a lot of things for the street team and school so I couldn't got to the airport but all fans who did told me that they were the coolest and sweetest signing autographs and taking pictures. Dhani arrived from Guadalajara Mexico and Marie from Can-Cun which you could see from miles away bcz they were really really tanned (talk about the bluest eyes you could ever see!). Amit arrived from Frankfurt and Sara from L.A.
TUESDAY 5 - PRESS AND TV
They did several interviews with magazines and TV shows but nothing relevant hehe
WEDNESDAY 6 - PRESS AND TV
They were in a show called "Cada Mañana" (Every morning) performing for the third time to all their mexican fans opening with Floorfiller. They all looked thrilled and happy of being in Mexico again and they thanked all their fans for their support for nearly five years now. They closed the show with Dancing Queen.
That night, they had a very important dinner with the Kings of Sweden and Mexico's President. No one knows the exact place where the dinner was but they did a whole show from Mamma Mia to Can't Help Falling in Love. It was the first time the A-Teens performed in front of their own Kings so it meant a lot to them. Even the kings stayed for about 30 min more bcz they wanted to hear another songs!
THURSDAY 7 - VIDEOCHAT, CONEXIÓN MTV AND LÍNEA DIRECTA
About 15 fans (me included he) were lucky enough to win a trivia and be with the band in a videochat in TvAzteca which is a very important television company in Mexico. It was a very small room so we had a lot of interaction with the guys. They were the sweetest and kindest with all their fans joking and chatting with us, they were really happy for being in Mexico. The interview was really fun but with no important questions. Some fans like Snoopy (hey ya!) and taffy_t (hey ya girl!) could give them some presents with hugs, kisses and all that hehe. This lasted for about 45 min, then we had a small photo session with the band. You can see the pics in http://www.tvazteca.com.mx/esp..._ateens/
From the videochat, we went to Mexico's MTV Studios to watch Conexión. The intreview was really short but nice, they talked about their experience with the Kings, about missing a concert with Alice Cooper and their mexican fans. The fans who were outside were screaming, singing and suppporting them every moment we could. At the end of the show, the guys performed COMPELTELY LIVE Floorfiller, Upside Down and Can't Help Falling in Love. It was a very cool show and they even shared stage with Darren Hayes, who invited them to his concert on Saturday.
From Conexión, the guys went to a show called Linea Directa who is all about fans (a mexican Fan-atic I could say) but I arrived late to my house and couldn't see the show. You can see captures of it at Argen-Teens.Com even though is all in spanish hehe.
FRIDAY 8 - PRESS AND DISNEY CHANNEL'S ZAPPING ZONE
The show was an A-Teens special which was a lot a lot of fun: they ate mexican food, they made them talk in spanish (Dhani knows all the numbers! haha), Amit fell offstage while performing Upside Down and they break-danced in Dancing Queen. The interview was kinda dumb in my opinion, you know like 'Which are your hobbies', etc. There was a question that said 'Whose your fav Disney character?' and Sara answered 'Deedee from Dexter's Lab'... and everyone went quiet bcz Deedee is NOT a Disney character hehe!! In general, the show was about A-Teens' history, musical tastes, hobbies, etc. They performed Floorfiller, Upside Down, Dancing Queen and Can't Help Falling in Love.
SATURDAY 10 - FREE
In name of all the street team 'Floorfillers Mexico', I made some typical mexican baskets with mexican candies, a glass for tequila called 'caballlito', a hand made drawing and a card thanking them for the music and inspiration. I gave this baskets to them on saturday at their hotel.
The first one who arrived was Amit. When he knew I was head of the street team he went totally excited and thanked me. I gave him the basket and went in shock haha! He was fascinated, he thanked me, hugged me and kissed me. I took a pic with him and then spotted Marie.
When I gave her the basket, she went nuts also! She hugged me, thanked me and took a pic with me with the basket! I was hypnotized by her beauty, that girl is gorgeous!
The last ones were Dhani and Sara. When I gave them their gifts, they all were amazed.
I was talking to Dhani about something (don't remember what ha) and he suddenly grabbed my arm, pulled me close and gave me the biggest and kindest hug ever! With a huge 'Thank you so much' he kissed me (I totally froze...), took a pic of me and thanked me for the support and patience bcz I had been there for like 6 hours waiting for them to come down and Dhani saw me earlier.
Sara was very sweet and beautiful too. She hugged me, thanked me and took a pic with me.
While talking to them, Amit came back and said 'I want a pic with all of us" and I was like SURE!. NOTE: they were all dressed up and hot hehe bcz they were going to Darren Hayes' concert.
After thanking me again and a last hug from all of them, I thanked them in name of all the street team (the cards had each memeber's name), they went out to dinner and the concert.
TEENY FACTS
- It was so amazing bcz Dhani and Marie are so, so blonde and they have the bluest eyes you just couldn't help but stare at them.
- Dhani and Sara spend most of the time together. I think they are the ones who get along the best. They even went shopping together to a store I totally hate but oh well hehe!
- Amit smells soooo gooooood! I swore when he hugged me, I almost fainted bcz he smelled like heaven. Does someone know what cologne he uses?
- Sara is very short compared to all her band mates and her huge smile is amazing!
- Dhani is soooo freaking tall! I felt really tiny next to him bcz I was talking to him with my whole head looking up at him.
- Their bodyguard was so sweet! He told me when they were coming down and he even thanked my mom!
- Dhani's family is soooo sweet and kind! Dhani is his dad's reflection but in a younger version. His mom is very short and is always smiling, Dinah is just beautiful! I know my club doesn't focus on the guys' family but this time I couldn't help it! ha!
- Dhani had already seen me at the hotel waiting for them but he went out with his family to eat so I couldn't give him the present so he told me to wait a little more.
- It was so funny bcz, they were talking to me in english but the instant they turned around they talked to eachother in Swedish but so fast and so un-understandable that I just stood there with my mouth opened. They must have noticed bcz they giggled.
- ALL OF THEM went up to their room to keep the baskets! That was the sweetest thing they could do! I felt so happy and... yea, why not... special.
SUNDAY 10 - TEMPRANITO AND AUTOGRAPH SESSION
The show wasn't interesting, it had like a 3 second interview and sang Floorfiller and Upside Down.
The autograph session was very organized and the guys, as always, were cool, sweet, kind accepting all the presents from the fans. Teeny fact: they remembered me! Whoo hoo!
I really don't know for how long they sign autographs but everything was super cool!
From the autograh session, Sara went straight to the airport and left Mexico. Amit and Marie left on tuesday while Dhani left on wednesday.
That was the A-Teens third visit to Mexico. They are preparing for a huge tour around Europe bcz of the album's release there in January 2003 and they are planning on doing a small tour in Latin America around summer!
